Above the Law?

There are not too many times I get upset, but when I saw what this officer did from Constable's office, it really hacked me off. It was September 14, 2011 at 4:39pm.
I was going North on Barker Cypress and this guy was right behind me. In fact, he was so "behind me", I couldn't even see his headlights. He was traveling so close, if I would have had to put on my brakes, he would have plowed right into me.
Now, let me tell you that the speed limit is 45 MPH. Originally I was going 40 because of the traffic, but when this officer started riding my bumper, I increased my speed slightly to try to put some distance between us, but then he increased his speed, back on my bumper AGAIN!
We stopped at a red light and when the light turned green, I proceeded, but then there he was again, on my bumper, so close I could not see his headlights. I increased my speed and even though the speed limit was 45, I increased mine to 50, no good, still on the bumper.
There was a school bus coming up on my right and all of a sudden he swerved in front of the bus, no turn signal and WAY to close for comfort, and then increased his speed tremendously. He was swerved in and out of traffic, ignoring the fact that he actually had turn signals on his vehicle. Since I was going the speed limit and he was leaving me behind in his dust, I would venture to say that he was going way faster than the posted speed limit, probably 60 or more.
And let's not forget the traffic lights. Those don't apply to him either. He is the prime example of "yellow means stomp it".
Through all of this, no lights, no siren, no nothing so I would also say he was not on his way to an important call.
With the traffic being a bit heavy and stopped at a light, I finally had the opportunity to get a picture of the vehicle.
If I, or anyone else, had done half the violations this guy committed, we would have been standing in front of a judge with a handful of tickets, of course that comes with hefty fines. It is WRONG that our law enforcement believes that they are above the law. This guy is getting paid by our tax dollars to be an example for the public, but instead he is driving in an unsafe manner and I'm sure somewhere down the line he has, or will, lecture someone on road safety and write a ticket to them for the same violations he committed. He is not credible and should not be writing tickets. In fact, he needs to go back to the academy and read the Texas Department of Transportation's Driving Handbook. How about defensive driving. That would be another good start.
This guy is not above the law, even though he thinks he is.
