Houston Ministers Against Crime

Roger with Kendall Baker and Rev. Jefferson
2/12/08 - Roger and Anita had the pleasure of meeting with the Houston Ministers Against Crime. There are many issues that are on their minds, particularly current events affecting the citizens of Houston. Their main objective is to make their voices heard and to participate in crime prevention. We would like to thank Mr. Kendall Baker for the invitation to speak at this meeting.
The Ministers Against Crime was established in 1976. The primary purpose was to breech the gap between the criminal justice system and persons of different ethnic groups. These are ministers of different ethnic groups that meet and discuss issues that are important to their communities. They have established several community programs that assist and support local law enforcement and their communities.
Their presence is a powerful force in the community. Their contributions are a significant influence in creating partnerships within the religious community and the criminal justice system to support ethnic tolerance and respect.
