Correspondence to
Pat Lykos
Harris County District Attorney
05/20/09: I wanted to update this page. We have heard from the Harris County District Attorney's office many times in the last couple of weeks. Thank you for the response and we look forward to your office doing the right thing, prosecuting Christine and Paula Trent for aggravated perjury.
041/15/09: I confirmed again with Ms. Beverly Chambers from Pat Lykos' office, that the evidence was transferred to the General Counsel Division of the Harris County District Attorney's office.
Well, today is April 13, 2009. The evidence was delivered to the Harris County District Attorny, Pat Lykos, on Apil 9, 2009. We received a phone call from Beverly Chambers, her Executive Assistant. We would are not releasing any details at this moment, but we will keep you posted as events occur.
Today is February 14, 2009 and we have never heard back from Pat Lykos, the Harris County District Attorney. In her defense, we wrote one letter a letter in December before she took office, but the other letters were written to her after she was sworn in. Does it take going all the way and embarrassing the Harris County District Attorney's office before we would even be contacted? I should say so. How about the fact that she has a prosecutor that committed a crime in the process of trying to convict Robert? Yes, this has been reported to the State Bar of Texas with all the proof. If Pat Lykos would have contacted us, maybe we would have saved the Harris County D.A.'s office the embarrassment, but at this point, I say whatever comes out, comes out and someone else can answer for the crap. Bet the response will be "no comment". What happened to all this "change" we heard about during the campaign? Oh, that's right, we are not one of the "big wig" supporters, that's the problem, we are just the normal everyday "common people". That's the reason we get no response from the Harris County District Attorney's office. I guess the phrase "justice for all isn't just a phrase", is just a phrase.
One
point I do want to bring up, on January 10, 2009, there is an article at KHOU
Channel 11, where the HPD Union wrote to Pat Lykos and requested a perjury
investigation of Marvin Driver, Greenbay Packers's Donald Driver's father, for
allegedly lying about police officers beating him and forcing him to take
cocaine.
Am I reading this right, they have already started an investigation? We
have been writing that office for months, and given them proof, that Christine
and Paula Trent committed aggravated perjury in a court room, during a criminal
proceeding and on the police report. I know, we are not "big wigs" that
would get them high profile coverage. That is the difference. It
says a lot.
After Pat Lykos became the Harris County District Attorney Elect, a letter was written to her asking for a meeting to present the evidence to her regarding the lack of investigation into Robert's case. This was done on December 10, 2008. Since we did not receive a response from her, another letter was written to her on January 2, 2009 (she was sworn in January 1, 2009). As of January 20, 2009, there still has been no response from her.
I remember listening to her during her presentation to the Houston Ministers Against Crime, where she stated that "Sunshine is the best disinfectant." Also, during other speeches, she states that "Justice for all is not just a phrase." Was this just a "speech", or did she really mean what she said. Right now, we are leaning towards the latter. Many times, politicians just say whatever they believe the public wants to hear, just to get elected into office.
If we, or anyone else, were huge contributors to a campaign, there would have been a phone call, immediately upon receiving a letter or phone call. But, when it comes to the "little" people who vote them into office, well, don't hold your breath regarding a response.
To Ms. Pat Lykos, if you will go to the Request for Records, we would be interested to know why your people are sending us copies of other people's records, but most of all, why are they sending copies of records on a doctor's stationary, that has been out of business longer than ten years. Can you answer the questions presented to Scott Durfee regarding the copies of the records, that is asked in the following letter? Refer to the letter dated January 6, 2009.
The following are the letters sent to Pat Lykos:
