Steven Rossi

As much as it seems Steven Rossi
had already suffered at the hands of H.P.D. it turns out only to be just the
beginning of a stream of hard knocks. Namely a knock at the door TWO days after
Fox ran His story. Yes, Steven was re-arrested right after the media released
the truth. Some may think of this to be a coincidence, but we all know
otherwise. The fact that He was exonerated for all wrongdoing by June 2010 and
was subsequently released from jail, how they would re-open the case three
months after it was closed purely seems to be retaliation and a bit of overkill.
Now that He has been going to court "again" for the same incident since July
2010 only shows the defective process in which the Justice system functions in
Harris County. It shows also the length they will go to keep
someone from letting the cat out of the sack.
Not
only had He fallen victim to an enraged cop with the intention to inflict
serious bodily injury, now He was thrust back into the system with the court
demanding curfew, Breathalyzer (interloc) from His home, reporting monthly and
submitting U.A.'s randomly, all before even being convicted. Anyone would agree
that these demands were stiff and without merit especially as He had bonded and
appeared in court as obligated. This clearly had been implemented to punish Him
even more. We recognize the injustice that had taken place from originally being
beaten and we see this as an invasion of His privacy and burden to every other
area of His life. One might ask, "Where does it all end?" The sad thing is while
He continues to abide with the courts, at His expense, there has been no effort
on behalf of the officials to reprimand any of the officers involved for
wrongdoing. One other observation is that He had a second successful
reconstructive surgery on December 20th 2010 and actually had a court appearance
the very next day. These things should not be, and we are to ask ourselves, "Is
justice being served here or is there a much greater travesty at hand?" ~

Opinion of AWC:
After reading the story, do you find that this is another injustice by Harris County? Oh, and get this, Pat Lykos is the D.A., who is ex-cop.. will the Houston Police Department officers who beat him ever be convicted of a crime? I doubt it. They have violated every right this man has and used police brutality to boot. Then, when the story got aired, he gets retaliation from law enforcement, which is not a surprise to me. Goes to show, you are safer playing in traffic on the Katy Freeway during rush hour traffic than you are in Houston Police Department waiting on the officers and Harris County District Attorney to protect you and your rights. Go back and see all the incidents involving these departments. Protecting the citizens and their rights is a joke here. They all run a-muck over citizens. They think they are sitting on the right hand of God.. no.. let me take that back.. they think they are God. Stupid idiots.
